PLEASE, Get Some Support

I was not really looking forward to going back to the gym today, but I am glad that I did. I didn't want to do the walk. The incline that my trainer has me on, is hard. Of course it's hard. If it was easy to lose weight, everyone would be slimmer. Someone needs to invent a chocolate cake that makes you lose 20 lbs. I'd love that diet.

I got to the gym, put my stuff in my locker and headed up to the treadmills. I brought a magazine with me today so I would focus on something other than the time. It helped a ton. I changed my Pandora station to something with a little more umph and got to work. I did 30 minutes at a 3.5 pace at a 3.0 incline. Guess what, I didn't take a break! That's right, I kept going until the full 30 minutes was up. Why is it so much easier at the gym than it is at my own home? It definitely helped that I used my magazine to cover up the time on the machine. Looking at skinny celebs on the beach might have helped me stay motivated a little too.

After cardio, I headed downstairs to the machines. Ab crunches with 65 pound weights? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME, BEN??? The mere thought of doing that could have killed me on its own. Yea, I'm a whiner. I did it anyway. Only because I knew Ben would look at my log book and see if I did them or not. Any motivation is good motivation I guess.  I had to do 4 sets of 25 reps at 65 pounds. I got situated on the machine and began. So, my mind was a little more freaked out than it should have been. It was no where near as painful as I thought it would be. It was just right actually. I could feel it working, it wasn't to easy, but I could push myself to finish. The way it should be.

I finished all my work outs and headed back upstairs to finish my cardio. It was a little harder this time because my legs were a little tired. After the first 15 minutes my legs quit complaining. In fact, they just went numb.  I have to thank Briana for nagging me about doing my cardio all at once. It's so much easier knowing I have the rest of the day off. Thank you Bri, you know I love you!

While I was on the treadmill the second time I had a couple of experiences. The first one, a good one. I was about half way done and I felt...skinny. I felt like I was a size 8 or something. I felt great, amazing... and happy. The mirrors in the dressing room quickly took all that away. But, for those 20 minutes, I couldn't stop smiling.  The second experience was, well, a little unpleasant. I noticed another person that was jogging on the treadmill. I won't go into  to many details but I will say, PLEASE, get some support.  Some women (those that are more endowed)  need more than just an old stretchy sports bra. For example, I wear 3 bras to the gym. A support bra and 2 sports bras. These puppies ain't goin' no where! If they look like they are trying to escape while you are working out, you don't have enough support.

I am trying to talk a friend of mine into coming with me tomorrow. Hope she decides to come.
