46 Days Left

That time of year is rapidly approaching. That's right, VACATION is just around the corner. We are going to Georgia for a few days and decided that this year, we want to take the kids to Charleston, SC. I love love love it there. It's so beautiful and FULL of history.  We only have 46 days left until our vacation, so I want to lose as much weight as possible by then. I am going to work harder and stay more focused. No cheat days, at all! Well...Maybe one or two. Matt's cousin's wife is pregnant and we were invited to their baby shower. That will be my only free day. I also plan on sticking to my calories while we are on vacation. I do plan on giving myself a day or two where I don't really log my calories, but I don't go overboard. I don't have to have a desert every day.

Usually when I work out I listen to Pandora. It's nice to have music while I work out. The only problem I was finding with it was that I was skipping a bunch of songs because I don't want to listen to slow songs while I work out. I asked Matt if he knew of a way that I could get music for free. He told me to use Spotify. I love it! I can download songs and even whole albums to my playlist (free). So today I got to listen to a great mix of fast pace songs without having to skip any. I have been on a Pink kick lately. I love her, and her songs are really great to work out to.

I got a little bit of a late start today. When Mike and I were leaving the house, the dog decided to bolt right out the door. I took Mike to school and headed back home to wait for the dog. Luckily she was waiting for me. I walked into the house, left the door open and she ran right in. Then I headed to the gym.

I had a good workout. Nothing amazing. I brought my kindle up to the treadmill with me so I could try reading while I walked (I've seen a few people do it, so I thought I would give it a try). It worked, time FLEW by. That was the easiest walk that I have done so far. It felt to be the quickest too. As a matter of fact, it went by so quick that I walked the whole hour all at once. Okay, reading drama on Facebook helped too.

After my walk, I went downstairs to do my strength work out. It was alright, again, nothing amazing. I did chest work outs today. I talked to Ben about my work outs last week. It seems like when I have training appointments, he has me work out a little bit of everything. Say that day was meant to be a 'leg' day, he has me do some chest and back too. Throws me off a little, but eh, no big deal. Maybe I will contemplate going to the gym an extra day to work out my legs on the day that I have a session.

Here is my workout for the day.

Even though I am not suppose to log how many calories I burn anymore, I still want a reliable way to track them (without keeping a log). I just want to know how many I burned that day. I don't need to keep the data, I just want to know. So, I was looking at some fitness watches and bands. The two that I really like are the Nike Fuel band and the Garmin Forerunner. Unfortunately, they are both way to expensive. But, a girl can hope, right?

I talked to Matt about my interest in something like these watches/bands. He told me that if I wanted one, I should go to Dicks and look at them. He said if I see one that I liked, I could get it. I'm on the fence. I hate spending that much money on something like this.

I also realized that I need better shoes for working out. Right now I have Sketchers Toners (they don't work). The bottom of my shoe is not all flat. It has a pad on the bottom. I found that while I am walking at a fast pace on the treadmill, I can't let go of the bars. My balance goes all to hell.

Matt is taking Friday off. It makes up for him having to work this past Saturday. He asked me if I would like to go to breakfast. I accepted ( I never turn down a good Bob Evans breakfast). However, I won't be having my usual. I will be going light! Then he is going to take me shopping for new running (walking) shoes and a fitness watch. I am still not sure if I actually want to buy  a watch/band yet. I am still thinking about it. I suppose we will find out on Friday.

Maybe Friday I can even get Matt to go to the gym with me. He didn't last week.
